“There are no limits to the world of haute couture, and when it comes to getting the ‘star’ appeal, a pair of cool sunglasses is all you need. Swiss luxury House Chopard brings you the most expensive sunglasses in the world, priced at $408496 (1.5 million AED). Created by De Rigo Vision, these glares have 51 fully cut River diamonds, with their weight coming to 4 carats. 60 grams of gold of 24 carats have been used to create this awe-inspiring piece.
The diamonds are set using a special technique. The stones represent a carpeted pattern, which makes each diamond dazzle with a heavenly luster. What comes out in the process is not just a pavement of diamonds, but several of them bunched up in an innovative design. The brand’s famous C logo is seen on the arm of the glasses. However, it is no surprise that the latest model is not for those on a budget.
Chopard has a huge fan following among the celebrities. In fact, Elton John is associated with their splendid watches as a designer. There’s a whole fleet of stars including Kate Beckinsale, Gwyneth Paltrow and Tom Jones queuing up for their glasses.
